TODAY'S REELECTION- TUESDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK OF EASTER

MY WORKS BEAR WITNESS TO ME
Beloved, the word of God continues to spread into Gentile territory, through the instrumentality of the early Christians. Christ founded the Church on the weakness - but also on the fidelity - of few men, the apostles, to whom he promised the constant assistance of the Holy Spirit. The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch ( Acts 11:26). A Christian is a follower of Christ. A Christian strives to be like Christ. He or she is a child of God and an heir of God's kingdom. Our duty on earth is to keep spreading the Good News.
Friends, Jesus' words and deeds spoke a lot concerning his identity, yet the Jews still want to know from him, whether he is the Christ. Jesus said, the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness to me. They forgot that Jesus and his Father are one ( Jn 10:30). How I wish our political leaders would say, "Look at the concrete good works I have done already and vote for me," instead of saying, "vote for me and I will do this for you." Actions speak louder that words. Or, for all of us to say, " Look at my certificates and employ me". Let us continue to live our Christian lives more faithfully, believe in Jesus and spread the good news. BE BLESSED.
